An Online Real Estate Guide |

The client required a solution that would enable them to generate and manage local real state
guides for various cities within the US. Each guide was to contain property advertisements and
other related information about the city. For this purpose they teamed with Icreon. We delivered to
them a website that enables property sellers/agents to advertise in local real estate guides and
generate sales leads. Property seekers can browse through the advertisements and place direct
enquires to the advertisers. We have also provided search engine optimization services to drive
targeted traffic to individual city guides. |

| The end-client wanted a website that would allow property owners, brokers and other real estate
professionals to advertise their properties and services to consumers within specific cities.
Advertisers were to be provided the means to create and manage their advertisements online.
Facilities to attach photo galleries and audio messages with the advertisements were required. With
the objective of ensuring equal exposure for all ads, no more than six advertisements were to be
displayed (on a local guide) at any given time. Administrators were to be provided the means to
manage the website and generate performance and statistical reports. The end-client also required
search engine optimization services to increase visibility and to drive targeted traffic to the guides. |

A web based guide to real estate listings |
The website has been designed to serve multiple local real estate guides. Each of these guides
targets consumers in a specific city and provides real estate listings and other related information
about the city such as the prevalent interest & mortgage rates, area maps, schools etc.
Property owners, agents, brokers etc can subscribe to and post their advertisements to a specific
guide. Six advertisements are displayed per guide and each advertisement is highlighted and given
the central position on a rotation basis. In case no vacant advertisement spots are available on a
guide, the advertiser’s subscription is put on hold. As and when a slot falls vacant it is offered to the
advertisers on the waiting list. The administrator has the option to offer the vacant spot to any
advertiser or can set for the system to automatically offer the free spot to the advertiser who heads
the waiting list. The advertisers are required to pay the subscription fee within the stipulated time
period (controlled by the administrator). In case they fail to make the payment the spot is given to
another advertiser in the waiting list.
Two types of advertisements can be placed be placed on the website property advertisements and
service. Each advertisement can include details of the property/service, a photo gallery (containing
a maximum of 15 images) and the advertiser’s contact details. Advertisers can attach an audio
message with the advertisement.
Consumers can browse the advertisements and send enquires to the advertisers. They can also
sign-up to receive notifications about any new listing posted by an advertiser.
Advertisers can manage their advertisements and track the performances online. Detailed statistics
including number of clicks throughs, page views, audio message plays etc are displayed for each
advertisement.
The solution includes an administrator module which can be used by the client to manage the
website. Administrators can define the cities that are to be served by the website. Details such as
subscriptions plans, charges, waiting list acceptance period etc can be set for each city. Detailed
city-wise reports detailing the subscribers (active or inactive), vacant advertisement slots, waiting
list, cancellations etc can be generated. Additionally, the administrator can offer discounts on the
subscription plans, manage website and e-mail content, send bulk e-mails to the subscriber base
and manage a database of all their sales personnel.
Search Engine Optimization Services
We have also provided the client with search engine optimization services to help drive targeted
traffic to the individual real estate guides. Our SEO strategy involved the following activities:
- Keyword Analysis to identify the keywords that can be targeted to increase visibility in search
engines
- Writing content to increase the volume of content on the website
- Creation and maintenance of blogs to ensure fresh content at regular intervals
- Submission of the website to various search engines and directory listings
- Implementation of Google analytics
- URL rewriting
- Reciprocal and 3-way linkages
