Requirement |
| Our client had an existing website that served as a platform for employers and candidates to connect with each other. The website was a very basic one, that they wanted redesigned so as to attract a greater number of candidates and employers. They also wanted modifications to the existing features so as to improve the performance thereby enabling them to provide better services. Discussion forum and blogging features were to be built into the solution. |

Website redesign and revamp to provide new and improved functionalities |
As per the requirements, Icreon redesigned the all new SeeMeCV website. We have made several modifications and built enhancements to improve the performance of the website and provide for new features. Some modifications that were made include:
- Providing additional search parameters in the Search template, making it easier for employers to search for candidates.
- New sections were added to the candidate profiles thereby enabling them to provide more detailed information about themselves.
- Features such as a text re-sizer, forum, blogs, site tours, live chat etc have been provided.
- Options for employers to add mission statements to their profiles and upload their company logo have been built.
- Several new content areas have been provided, the content of which can be managed by the administrator.
SeeMeCV provides candidates with the means to advertise themselves to prospective employers. They can create and store their resumes detailing their education, qualifications, hobbies, interests, previous employers etc online. They are provided with the option to attach a photo with their details and can also generate a PDF version of their resume that can be downloaded by interested employers. Another unique feature available to registered candidates is the option to create a video CV. Candidates can record a video online and attach it to their profile. Provisions for maintaining an online schedule for the interviews has been provided to the candidates.
Employers, in turn, can subscribe to the website to gain access to a database of candidates from across the globe. The subscription plan (defined and managed by the administrator) selected by an employer determines the number of CVs that he/she can download and the number of interview invites that can be sent out. Employers can search for candidates on the basis of their preferred job sectors or can randomly search for candidates on the basis of the provided criteria. Employers can also create and manage their profiles and subscription plans.
The solution includes a web based administrator panel that can be used by the administrators to manage and monitor the website.
We have integrated a discussion forum with the website, wherein registered employers and candidates can post their ideas and opinions on various topics. The open source phpBBForum software has been customized and integrated to provide the discussion forum functionality. The open source blogging software, WordPress, has been customized and integrated to enable registered candidates and employers to create and maintain their individual blogs. A common registration and user base is used for phpBBForum, WordPress and the main website.
