Typically, in an online DVD rental system, a customer registers with the rental company and subscribes to one of the rental plans on offer. He/She can then browse through and select titles from the online DVD collection to create a rental wish list. Depending on the subscription plan, the first lot of DVDs is shipped to the customer. The next set of DVDs on the customer’s wish list is mailed after he/she returns the first set. In most cases customers can keep the DVDs for as long as they wish, however the number of DVDs that can be rented out at a time is based on the subscription plan opted for by the customer.

	Web based application – We provide our solutions with browser based interfaces through which the rental company adminuistrator can enter and store details of CDs/DVDs avaialbe on rent.
	Desktop application - In addition, we can also develop a desktop application that allows information stored in a third-party database to be fetched and used to populate the online database. This does away with with the need for administrators to manually enter movie details. We also provide for synchronization between the desktop application and the online DVD database.

We can integrate and incorporate a CMS that facilitates the publishing of content such as movie descriptions, announcements etc appearing on the website with our solutions.

Subscription
In order to help rental companies in creating and managing a customer datbase, we can incorporate a detailed registration process (customizable as per client requirements) enabling customers to register and subscribe to one of the various rental plans on offer, by providing information about personal details i.e. name, mailing address etc, payment information i.e. credit card type, number etc. Customers have the option to cancel their subscription at any point of time. The registration process enables rental companies to create and maintain their customer database.

Rental Wish List
The rental wish list feature can be included in our online DVD rental software. Using this feature, registered customers can browse through the DVD collections, based on search criteria such as category, title, genre etc. From the collections, customers can select and add any number of movies to their rental wish list. They can prioritize movies in their list and can, at any point of time, modify and delete items from their rental wish lists.

Order Processing
Our solutions enable the rental company administrators to view the wish lists created by the customers and act on the same. They can monitor and track the DVDs rented out.

Reporting Tools
We provide extensive reporting tools that enable rental companies to generate reports such as rental history, member database, most request DVDs, billing reports, sales and revenue reports etc

	Trailers – Trailers can be uploaded and attached with movie description enabling customers to have a brief preview of the movie before ordering for it.
	Reviews – Customers can post their reviews on a particular movie and can browse through reviews posted by others.
	Rate Movies – Customers have the options to rate the movies according to the given scale.
	Check availability – The availability of a movie, for rent, can be checked by the customer.
	Personalization – Based on a customers’ rental history and preferences, recommendations for DVDs can be made.
	Email options – Automatic e-mails can be sent out to customers when they place an order thereby enabling them to keep track of their orders.
	Vouchers/Points – Customers can be encouraged to rent out movies by offering them vouchers and points for every rental. These can be redeemed against rental charges.
	Newsletters – Customers can subscribe to and receive newsletters about latest movies, news etc.
